Our commitment

We believe every adult 21+ in New York deserves the same easy access to our menu, delivery zones, and information about our products, regardless of ability. We design and build this site to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, the standard U.S. courts and the Department of Justice apply under the Americans with Disabilities Act.

What we've done

• Semantic HTML — every page uses proper landmarks (<header>, <nav>, <main>, <footer>) so screen-reader users can jump directly to content.
• Skip-to-content link — press Tab from any page to reveal a "Skip to main content" link that bypasses the menu.
• Keyboard navigation — every interactive element (buttons, menus, ZIP checker, age gate, filter pills) works with keyboard alone. Focus indicators are visible in gold.
• Text alternatives — all meaningful images have alt text; decorative images (like the silent hero video) are hidden from assistive technology.
• Reduced motion — if your device's system preference is set to "Reduce motion," the auto-playing hero video is replaced with a still image and non-essential transitions are disabled.
• Contrast — text and interactive elements meet or exceed the WCAG AA 4.5:1 contrast ratio against their backgrounds.
• Responsive & zoomable — the site reflows cleanly at 200% browser zoom and on mobile screens as narrow as 320 px.
• UserWay accessibility toolbar — a persistent toolbar in the bottom-right of every page offers bigger text, more spacing, a dyslexia-friendly font, high contrast, link highlighting, and a reading guide. Free for every visitor, no account needed.

Known limitations

Parts of our checkout and product menu are powered by Dutchie, an embedded third-party menu. While we've verified the embed loads accessibly on our page, some interactions inside the Dutchie iframe fall under Dutchie's own accessibility standards. If you hit a barrier inside the menu, please let us know and we'll advocate for a fix on your behalf while helping you complete the order another way in the meantime.

Ongoing work

Accessibility is not a one-time checklist. We re-audit the site on a quarterly cadence with both automated scans and manual keyboard-and-screen-reader testing, and every new page or embed is checked before it goes live. This statement is dated so you can see when it was last verified.
